A loan helped to purchase baby poultry to raise and sell in the future.

Luyến's story

Mr Luyến is twenty-five years old and married. He is an ethnic minority living in Nhu Thanh district, a rural town in Thanh Hoa province, very far from the center. He speaks ethnic minority languages and rarely leaves the village, so he has no opportunity to access financial services.

He works in agriculture, raising poultry. His family is a low-income household in their village; moreover the market demand is low in this region.

The main hardship that Luyến faces is lack of capital. He is requesting a loan to purchase baby poultry to raise and sell in the future.

This is Luyến's first loan with Thanh Hoa Microfinance Institution. With his profit, Luyến hopes to buy land of his own, for his family to be healthy and happy, and for his business to do well.

This loan is special because:

It supports women from ethnic communities and single parent families.
