A loan helped a member to plant carrots.

San José- El Chimborazo Group's story

Juana is an enterprising and responsible young person. She requests a loan to buy seeds, inputs, fertilizers, and to pay laborers to plow the land, on which she is going to plant 0.25 hectares of carrots. She has experience in growing vegetables and obtains good profits from this work.

She is very grateful for the support offered by Kiva and Aldea Global; she has managed to get ahead through the loans. She hopes for your support in this new financing, because with the profits, she hopes to cover the necessities of her household and to improve her and her family's living conditions.

She notes that, despite the situation in Nicaragua, she hopes to continue working and to be able to sell her crop.

In the photograph, she is wearing the white and blue blouse and white skirt.
