Jenifa's Group's story

Jenifa, pictured above, has been a farmer for 4 years, and is now proud to represent her group of 16 farmers in the Iringa District. She is 25 years old, married, and has 2 children.

Jenifa likes to think of herself as a very friendly person. She has been working alongside One Acre Fund since 2016 and decided to represent her group because she likes being a leader. She says that being part of the One Acre Fund community has meant that she has been able to consistently feed her family. Jenifa plans to use the profits from this coming season to buy more land to cultivate.

In total, Jenifa’s Group will receive inputs to cultivate 11.5 acres of land. Some members of the group will also be purchasing a solar light, so with this loan, the group will also receive a total of 2 solar lights.

In this group: Jenifa, Godlack, Ayard, Naita, Naitini, Yohana, Fausta, Aley, Reji, Amani, Siwayi, Musa, Pius, Poward, Skondina, Faustina

This loan is special because:
