A loan helped to buy more banana suckers (seedlings) and multiply her produce to earn enough income to educate her children.

Joy's story

Rural smallholder women in Chuka are helping to pave the way for a better future. Get to know Joy (pictured above). She is at the forefront when it comes to supporting her family as the primary breadwinner. She is a crop and dairy farmer. On her farm, she has planted banana plants, which give her additional income to care for her family. Over the last few months, demand for bananas in her local market has been on the rise, and farmers are taking advantage by selling bananas at very high prices.

Joy is requesting a loan to buy more banana suckers (seedlings) and multiply her produce. With this loan, she will be assured of a good harvest, which will translate into more profits and greater income. She wants what any mother would want, which is a bright future for her children. You can support Joy in making her dreams come true by making a loan. She really hopes to receive the support of lenders and is looking forward to a warm response. She expresses her thanks in advance.

This loan is special because:

It finances smallholder farmers to purchase dairy cows, chickens, cereals and farming equipment.
