A loan helped to buy grocery goods.

Narayan Devi's story

Mrs. Narayan Devi M., 33, lives in Thecho, Lalitpur, Nepal. Thecho is one of the beautiful, underdeveloped villages of Nepal. Most of the people of this region are poor and depend on agriculture to make a living.

Mrs. M. has two children, a daughter and a son. Both her children are studying in grade 7.

Mrs. M. opened a grocery shop four years ago. She sells different types of grocery items such as rice, maize, pulses (legumes), biscuits and noodles in her shop. Her children also help her in her work. The demand for grocery goods is increasing in her area, so she is requesting a loan of NPR 30,000 to buy grocery items to meet the demand.
