A loan helped a member to buy mineral fertilizer for pepper farming.

Chansophal Group's story

Chansophal, age 30, is a married mother of two school-aged children. She resides in the Tbong Khmum province of Cambodia. Chansophal operates a farm where she cultivates pepper to make profits. Meanwhile her husband add to the family income by working as a driver. She and her husband are able to earn around $24 USD per day.

Chansophal, who appears on the right as the group leader, would like to request a loan for this two-member group. She will use her portion to buy mineral fertilizer for pepper farming. This loan will help her have enough money to cover the cost of fertilizer for farming, which will help to increase her income as well.

In the future, she hopes that she will be able to expand her farmland, build a new house, and help her children to get a higher education.
