A loan helped a member to purchase brooms, detergent, and wholesale cleaning materials for her cleaning service business.

Palmitas Group's story

The communal bank "Palmitas" will begin its fifteenth loan cycle with Pro Mujer, as part of the Villa Copacabana regional hub. The communal bank is composed of eight members and is directed by a board of directors, of which Judith is the president.

The loan they will take out will benefit small businesswomen, of which Judith is one. Currently, she has a cleaning service business, which she says she learned on her own initiative several years ago.

The loan she will now take out will be for a capital increase for the purchase of brooms, detergent, and wholesale cleaning materials, which she will buy from wholesalers in the city of La Paz. These will later serve her as a means of production. This work allows her to generate resources to support her family financially, since she is married and has three children.
