A loan helped to buy a slicing machine for his bakery in order to increase his production.

Eloy's story

Eloy lives in the town of Challapata, a place with an arid and cold climate in the department of Oruro. He is 43 years old and is married to Lourdes. Together they are the parents of four school-aged children. They live in a rented home.

For 15 years Eloy has worked as a baker. Starting very early in the morning he makes the dough by hand and later bakes it. He sells his production wholesale from his work site which is also his home. He wants to improve his income in order to offer better opportunities to his children.

This is his the first loan he as received from the Sartawi Foundation. He wants to buy a slicing machine to help in his manual work, thereby increasing his production capacity.
