Beatrice is 62 years old, and is the married mother of six children who are still in school. She is a vegetable vendor; she plants and sells different vegetables, such as spinach, amaranth and cow peas. She has been running this business for 19 years, working every day from 6:30 a.m until 6:00 p.m. She earns profits from the business.
This will be Beatrice's second loan request from Tujijenge Tanzania. She used her previous loan to purchase seeds and fertilizer for planting vegetables to sell in the market. She earned profits that she used to support her family and reinvest in her business, and she managed to repay the loan on time.
She is applying for this loan to continue expanding her business by buying more vegetables seeds and fertilizers, as well as a big soaking tub to put her vegetables in for sale. Her dream is to become a large supplier of vegetables in the near future.
Beatrice will share a portion of this loan with her fellow member of Kimusi Grp Tarime-Unit Group. They promise to pay back the loan.
