A loan helped to buy seeds for cultivating naranjilla.

Consuelo Del Rosario's story

Consuelo is 26 years old, married, and has two children who are currently in school. She and her family live with her younger brother in the family home located in the San Gerónimo sector of Carolina Parish, Imbabura Province.

Consuelo works in agriculture by cultivating naranjilla [a type of fruit]. Thanks to this activity, she is able to sustain her family. Her husband helps occasionally since he is employed as a day laborer. She needs a loan so that she can plant and cultivate naranjilla. The income she generates from this activity will be used to cover her family’s expenses. Her wish is to provide her children and her younger brother a quality education so that they can have a decent life.
