Alianca's story

Alianca is modest, hardworking, 40 years old, and married.

Alianca has amazing skill and experience with East Timor traditional woven cloth called 'tais', and she makes a living from it. Her weaving shop, which she has been running for many years now, is so well-located where it is easy to find, and many people come to buy her weaving every day.

Running the business has made Alianca become independent because she can be responsible for herself and also help support her family's everyday needs.

She would like a loan of $1,000 through KIF to help improve her weaving shop. She plans to use this loan to buy additional materials like different colours of yarns and/or warp threads in order to make more traditional cloth to sell.
