A loan helped a member to buy fertilizer and seeds to grow rice.

Hep's Group's story

Hep is a 44-year-old villager. Currently, she is living in Ratanakiri province. She has four dependent children, two of whom are in school.

Hep is a hard-working farmer who has been growing rice for years to make a living. This is the main source of her family’s income. Through this business, she is able to earn about USD 15 per day. After offsetting the daily expenses, she can manage to save about USD 10 each day for emergency needs.

Hep's crops are not growing well since she doesn't have enough working capital for farming, so she would like to request a loan.

Hep is now leading a group of two to apply for this loan and she will use her portion to buy fertilizer and seeds to grow rice. Through this loan, Hep hopes to run her farm smoothly and increase her family’s income, as well.
