A loan helped a member to buy rice seeds and fertilizer for cultivation.

Samba's Group's story

This is a mixed group composed of three women and two men who live in the same town. Their strong social ties and their family relationship gave birth to their group in 2010. Their main business is growing rice.
Madam Faboye, standing on the right of the picture, is the group's representative. Faboye, age 53, is married and has two daughters. Her main activity is growing rice. Therefore, she will use this loan to buy rice seeds, fertilizers and pest control products for her field. She will also need to rent a tractor. Her crop will be sold at the market to her faithful customers.
With her profits, she will be able to pay for her children's schooling, to meet the family's expenses and to save in order to expand her business.

In this group: Samba, Mouhamadou, Awa, Awa, Faboye
