Samnang is 31 years old and a mother of one. She and her husband make a living growing rice and working as construction workers. They have been working in these areas for 12 years. Currently, they earn about 23,000 KHR per day and are able to save about 8,000 KHR per day for future needs.
This is the third loan for Samnang with Kiva’s partner, VisionFund. She is now leading the group of two. She will use her portion to buy fertilizer for her farmland.
Samnang hopes to increase her harvest and sell her crops for a good price so that she can improve her family’s standard of living.
