Joelson is 36 years old. He lives in a rural village, on a flood plain, with his wife and three children. Their home is still made out of clay. He is working hard in his farming with the goal of progressing. He wants a good life for his family.
Joelson joined Vahatra to take out loans so that he could farm a larger piece of land and increase his yields. His first loan was used to farm potatoes. He sold his entire crop and made a profit that increased his capital.
He needs a second loan to farm carrots. He is going to buy seeds, chemical fertilizer, manure, and phytosanitary products.
The harvest will be delivered to collectors. Joelson hopes for support from lenders. His goal is to achieve financial independence.
