A loan helped a member to invest in her ecocash agent business.


Cross Over Group's story

Samantha is a very determined woman. She is part of the Cross Over group, which consist of three members. She is an ecocash agent. In addition, she is a wholesaler of snacks: she supplies to tuckshop and snack stalls. Samantha stays in Warren Park, Harare at her parents’ house. She is a young mother of one child who goes to pre-school. Her husband is a self-employed car dealer. As her business started to grow with more customers, she decided to employ one worker to assist her in the operations.

Samantha’s motivation is to become a successful businessperson through hard work and determination. To grow her business, she joined Thrive with other business women and they formed a group which they named Cross Over. They went through the financial training where they were taught on how to properly use the funds they acquire to grow their business. Samantha used her portion of the loan to increase her cash float.
