A loan helped a member to purchase cassava seeds and compost to use on the farm.

Pov Group's story

Pov, 46, is a farmer who lives in the Kampong Cham province of Cambodia. She has been working in the cassava farm with her husband together since 2008 to pay for family expenses. Pov and her husband are able to earn around 10 USD per day.

Now, she has led the group of two members to request a group loan. She will use her loan share to purchase cassava seeds and compost to use on the farm. She believes these purchases will help to increase the crop yield, and her family income as well. In the future, she wants to purchase two hectares of farmland and help her child’s studies.
