A loan helped to buy more fresh fish to sell.

Albioter's story

This is 28-year-old Alboiter. She is a single mother with 3 children ranging in age 5 through 12. All of her children are in school while living at home.

She runs a business where she sells fresh fish. She has had this business for the past 5 years without any problems. Her mother taught her the trade. She works at her business from 7:00 am to 6:00 pm on a daily basis and describes herself as a hard-working business woman. She says she started her business very small but, over the years, it has grown and this make her very proud. She also likes her business because is increasing.

To get more goods she asked for a loan with BRAC Liberia. The loan will be used to buy more fresh fish to sell and grow the business.

In the future she would like to own a big shop. She says thanks for your support.

This loan is special because:

It serves low-income individuals in rural Liberia where few alternative funding sources exist.
