Isha's story

Meet 40-year-old Isha, from the Tombo branch. She is married with two children between the ages of 15 and 20 years.

Isha runs a retail business and sells vegetable oils and other items to her customers within the community. She has been in this business for the past four years now, and works ten hours per day and six days a week. Her main challenge is slow sales sometimes.

Isha requested this loan from BRAC to purchase more oil and other items to increase her business. She says that the extra income from this loan has helped her to develop her family. In the future she wants her business to expand into a big shop. She says thanks to BRAC and the Kiva community for their support.
