Flavia makes chicken feed from fresh animal blood, shells and bones. She employs people to go to Lufula slaughterhouses to collect the fresh blood in cans. She boils this with ingredients from Ugachick Poultry Breeders Limited in Gayaza, as an independent producer. Once done, she sells to Ugachick itself, although the payments take two weeks to come through. This is one reason she also sells to other firms that pay instant cash for her to remain in business.
Her previous loan helped her renovate her recently built house and now she needs a loan to help buy more raw materials for her business. She also wants to put a concrete floor in her house to get rid of the dust. She is very grateful for her previous loans and those to come.
