A loan helped a member to purchase wool in bulk.

Suma Warmi Group's story

The communal loan group Suma Warmi will begin its first loan cycle with Pro Mujer, as part of the Centro Focal Los Andes. It is made up of eight members and is led by officers of whom Celia is the president.

The loan that they will get will benefit the small business owners of whom Celia is one. Currently she has a business selling shawls. She states that she learned this business at her own initiative some years ago.

The loan that she will get now will be to increase her capital, purchasing wool in bulk, which she will get from the wholesalers in the city of La Paz. After production, she will sell them in her retail space. This type of work allows her to generate resources to support her family economically since she is married and has four children.

In this group: Celia , Erika Mechy, Agustina , Maria Del Carmen, Erick Carlos, Beatriz Mary , Claudia, Jhenny
