A loan helped a member to pay for additional farming materials.

Sokna Group's story

Sokna is a 45 year-old married mother of two school-aged children, and she resides in Tbong Khmum Province, Cambodia. Since 2011, she and her husband have worked at the rubber plantation. They earn approximately $20 per day.

Sokna is the group leader pictured first from the right, and she is requesting a loan as part of her three-member group. Sokna will use her share to pay for additional farming materials. Growing better rubber crops will help support her family. Her future plans include expanding her farmland, saving enough money to build a new house, and supporting her children to go to college.
