Silvia Esperanza's story

Silvia lives with her family comprised of her and three children ages 18,16 and 15. Her children depend on her financially, she is a single mom because she separated a while ago from her husband and she has become the head of her family. Motivated by her entrepreneurial spirit and the need to obtain more income to get her family ahead she sells corn tamales. She works independently with two schedules during the day, which are 4 AM to 9 AM and 2 PM to 5:30 PM. She learned to make tamales with the help of a family member and they now have 15 years of experience.
The loan will be invested in buying firewood, corn and aluminum foil to make tamales. The loan will help her obtain everything she needs for her business and she will serve her customers better while also obtaining more income.
She aspires to expand her business and continue building the house where she lives with her children.
