Martha worked as a coffee collector and started managing a small, 2.11 hectare coffee plantation eight years ago in northern Nicaragua in the city of Jinotega where she lives with her husband and two children.
Over the last three years she has increased farm production by 30% reaching a harvest of 80 quintals of coffee in the last harvest. The funds she is requesting will be invested in planting a new area in the same business.
With the support of her family she has been able to maximize resources and coffee production on her farm, establishing her family situation and supporting the community. This loan will allow her to plant 2.17 hectares of coffee which she hopes will improve production and quality of life.
In the photo we see Martha with her children.
