A loan helped to buy farm inputs such as fertilizers, pesticides and herbicides.

Nancy's story

Living and working in Litein has been challenging, especially for Nancy (pictured above alongside a loan officer). She is a single woman who works hard to establish herself. Her major sources of income include selling her farm produce such as maize, bananas, milk and eggs. She also gets a little income from her small shop.

Although Nancy has been earning some income from her farm, not everything has been easy for this enterprising woman. Her farm’s produce has reduced due to a lack of fertilizer and failure to use herbicides and pesticides. For this reason, Nancy is seeking a loan of KES 70,000 to buy farm inputs such as fertilizers, pesticides and herbicides so as to expand her horticulture farm. Through this loan, Nancy will be assured of a bumper harvest which will mean more profits and income. Using this loan, she will be able to expand her enterprise.

Nancy hopes you will consider her request for this loan. It will change her life and help her achieve her dreams.

This loan is special because:

It finances smallholder farmers to purchase dairy cows, chickens, cereals and farming equipment.
