Samvel's story

Samvel K. was born in 1953 in Ijevan. He is married and has two daughters. One daughter works in the Ijevan Music School, the other is married and lives away from her parents. Samvel has owned a food shop since 1999. Before starting his business, Samvel worked as a builder up until the closing of his Building Department. His mother and his wife are helping him in the business. In the past ten years, thanks to his profits, Samvel has been able to buy new furniture for his house and to pay the expenses for his daughter’s wedding, as well as for his mother’s surgery. Unlike the other food shops in Ijevan, Samvel’s shop is open for 24 hours. This is Samvel’s 6th borrowing cycle with “Nor Horizon.” This time he is requesting 500,000 AMD to buy non-alcoholic drinks and candy for his shop. In the future Samvel wants to open a second food shop in Ijevan.
