A loan helped to buy tables and chairs to meet the growing demand for food, and improve her income.

Janet Lia's story

Yanet is 51 años and she lives with her spouse. She has children who are on their own and her business is selling food.

She does her work in ‘Quillacollo’, a rural area where farmers deliver their products unload their produce to deliver it in the city. Yanet and her spouse live in a rented room. Out of a need to work, she started her own business selling food, whish she does right outside her house. The food that she prepares is a sausage and boiled cow tripe sandwich, accompanied by corn. The demand in the place grew suddenly, because they moved a bus stop to be very close by. Her tools are a small kitchen, pots and materials. Due to the growing demand, her business is too small. To improve it, she must include tables and chairs. The advantage is that demand grew, and the problem is meeting that demand. Her dream is to open a restaurant. She wants to sell a larger quantity of food. With this loan, she will buy tables, chairs and kitchen utensils. This is the first loan that she has received from the institute in the 2 years that she has been doing this activity.

It is for these reasons that Yanet is asking for a loan to buy tables and chairs to meet the growing demand for food and to improve her income.
