A loan helped a member buy cattle for her livestock business.

Margaritas De Marquirivi Group's story

The Margaritas de Marquirivi community bank will receive a second round of funding from Pro Mujer as part of a project operated by the Centro Focal Copacabana. The group has eight members and is managed by a board led by its president, Sra. Severina.

The new loan will benefit small businesses here, including an animal sales business operated by Sra. Severina. She tells us that she started the business, on her own initiative, some years ago. She will use her share of the loan to buy cattle from a wholesale market in La Paz. She is married and has three children and her income from the business helps to support her family.

In this group: Severina, Miriam, Leucadia , Fidelio , Rosa , Griselda , Daniel Carlos , Delia Blanca
