Bertha lives in a rural area with her partner. She went to school up to the elementary level. Her house, which lacks some basic services, is rustic and made of adobe with a Spanish tile roof. She is a hardworking person, and she works with a lot of optimism to increase her financial income for her own means of support. She basically works in agriculture, and has done this type of work for approximately 6 years, where she produces and commercializes her product. She sells what she gets at provincial fairs in the region and in neighboring villages. The main products she sows are potatoes in large quantities, beans, oca (an Andean tuber vegetable) and oats, and other products in smaller quantities, generally for her own consumption. Bertha needs to request a financial loan to buy organic manure (hen droppings) and potato seeds. In this way she can increase her production and continue with her commercialization to obtain income and improve her quality of life.
