A loan helped to buy cows to increase her head count of livestock.

Zhanarhan's story

Zhanarhan is 55 and a widow with four children. She has a high school education and works in animal husbandry and agriculture as the primary source of income for her family, a business she started in 2007. Thanks to her hard work and help from her children, she now has two cows, 10 sheep and one horse on her farm as well as 0.91 hectares of land where she grows potatoes and corn.

With the goal of further developing her farm, Zhanarhan has approached Bai Tushum Bank for a loan of 150,000 KGS to buy cows to increase her head count. Profits from the loan will help her increase her family's material well-being and, in the future, do home renovations.
