Orianne's story

Me and my husband were married in 2010 and we have been working side by side since then. We want to continue doing that to set a good example for our daughter, teaching her that family comes first before a job. We also want to instill in her a love for hard work, so she can see that it can be enjoyable and pay off. My husband, Shawn, who is our head brewer/heavy lifter, was raised in the area, him and his family have a very good reputation for being reliable hard workers, always so willing to give. I, the owner/everything else, was raised in Alaska as an only child with my wonderful, hard working parents, who also happen to be the owners of the property that the brewery is going to lease from. My family has always been an excellent example for me, showing the balance of providing for their household's mental, spiritual, financial, emotional, and physical needs, something that I want to imitate for my own daughter.

Our plan is to keep things simple for now. Support our household's finances while enjoying the craft of making something new, tried and true, or completely out of the box, but always delicious! We will be doing most of the brewing and every day beer pouring ourselves, with occasional assistance from friends and family that want to learn the process. We are so excited to bring a microbrewery to an area of the world that, at one point in time, it was illegal to sell or even make alcohol, it feels like we can pave the way for more businesses like ours to grow in the area.

This loan is special because:

It helps two entrepreneurs open a micro brewery in their local community.
