Santos lives in the community of Torohuaca in the Tabaconas district of the province of San Ignacio, Peru. She's 36 years old and the mother of three children.
She and her companion have grown coffee for several years. She sells her coffee crop in a local cooperative that gives better financial incentives, even more so when the crop is of good yield and quality.
This family's goal is to increase coffee production and get a favorable yield, so she needs to buy soil amendments to fertilize the coffee and get a better quality and yield per hectare. But she's also going to invest in planting new coffee plants.
This humble family dreams of continuing to work with the support of Coopac Norandino so they can set up a larger coffee field.
