Kulsun's story

Kulsun is 63 years old. She is married and has 3 daughters. Kulsun is educated at the secondary-specialized level. As her primary sources of income she practices agriculture and also sells women's clothing in a rented booth. Thanks to Kulsun's hard work and the help of her husband with the household, her farm currently has 0.06 hectares of land on which she cultivates apricots, apples, cherries. The farm also has 1 cow, 10 sheep, and 1 horse. Kulsun's monthly income is approximately 15,000 som (KGS). Kulsun is a regular customer of Bai Tushum Bank, and with the goal of further developing her farm, she has turned to them for a loan of 50,000 som (KGS). This loan will be used to buy organic fertilizer to treat the soil and to increase the yield of organic food produced. Kulsun plans to use the profit from the loan to further increase the yield of her garden and to open her own shop.
