A loan helped to buy food items to retail at rural markets.

Sevenou's story

Kenson is the leader of a rural savings group in Haiti. He created this group (12 male and 18 female members) in 2015 in order to encourage ultra-poor people to put their hands together to get out of extreme poverty. One hundred percent of the members of this group are selling food items in flea markets.

As they agreed to be connected with Fonkoze-Zafen, the committee board is requesting a loan to buy food items in bulk so the members can access economies of scale.

Portrayed from right to left: Kenson (president), Jean (secretary), Therisnord (treasurer), and Onel (advisor).

This loan is special because:

It provides village associations with access to credit.
