A loan helped a member to purchase organic fertilizers to boost her crop yields.


Saroeun Group's story

Saroeun, 51, appears on the right in the photo. She is a married mother of three children living in a village in Prey Veng province. She and her husband are farmers and have been cultivating rice for the past twenty years to makes profits and support their living. Her family income is also aided by her three children who are garment factory workers.

In order to support her farming, Saroeun is now representing this group of two members asking for a loan. She is going to use her share of the loan to purchase organic fertilizers to boost her crop yields and get higher profits.
