A loan helped a member to buy sheep to raise and sell on.

Jigiseme Group's story

Bakary is seen in the photo, holding the horn of the sheep. He is a farmer from Mali who never had the opportunity to attend school. He is twenty-nine years old, married and father to four children aged between one and twelve years old. His wife looks after their home and children. Bakary is a good client of the field partner, RMCR. He works hard and is very reliable.

Bakary has been raising animals for around ten years and has a lot of experience. He borrows money from RMCR to buy sheep from markets in the surrounding villages. He then sells the sheep in the same markets. His profits enable him to provide for the needs of his family.

In the future, Bakary would like to have a larger loan to increase his working capital, expand his business and earn more.
