A loan helped to increase production of cape gooseberries as working capital.

Hilda Soledad's story

Hilda is 28 years old, has four daughters, lives in a rural parish of Otavalo district and comes from a family of limited means, so she was not able to finish school. She became a mother at a very young age and now understands the importance of education. Her dream is for her daughters to become professionals.

Together with her husband, the father of her youngest daughter, she works growing cape gooseberries. She has experience with this crop thanks to her training on this subject. She is requesting a loan to increase her crop of cape gooseberries, as there is high market demand for this fruit due to its nutritional properties. Local restaurants also want it to make jams.

She believes that the support of this loan will let her meet this demand and increase their family income. Hilda is very grateful for your support.
