A loan helped a member purchase wool in bulk.

Sol De Collana Group's story

The Sol de Collana communal loan group will begin its first loan cycle with Pro Mujer, as part of the Centro Focal Copacabana. It is made up of nine members and is led by officers, of whom Sulma is the president.

The loan that they will get will benefit the small micro-entrepreneurs of whom Sulma is one. Currently, she has a business selling shawls. She states that she learned this business at her own initiative some years ago.

The loan that she will get now will be to increase her capital with the purchase of wool in bulk, which she will get from the wholesalers in the city of La Paz, and after production, she will sell them in her sales space. This type of work allows her to generate income to support her family economically, since she is in a common-law marriage.

In this group: Sulma , Ana Maria, Rosa, Gregorio Sergio, Corina, Sergio, Valentina, Angelica Wilma, Sonia
