A loan helped a member to purchase rice seeds and fertilizer for this growing season.

Pheang Group's story

Pheang appears first on the right in the photo. She is a married mother of two children, living in a village in Kampong Cham Province, Cambodia. She is a farmer, and has been growing rice together with her husband to make a living since 1993. She typically makes around $20 USD per day.

In order to grow more rice, she has now led this group of three members asking for a loan with Kredit. She would like to use her share of the loan to purchase rice seeds and fertilizer for this growing season. With the profits from this season's harvest, she is going to purchase two more hectares of farmland and build a new house.
