Meun is living in Moung Reussey district of Battambang province, 37 years old and married. She is a mother of three dependent children, two of whom are in school and the other one is too young. Nowadays, Meun is rice farming and her husband is climbing the palm trees to get extra income. Together, they are able to earn income just enough to support their family’s situation.
Because of the growing season and Meun is short of working capital, she decided to apply for a loan with VisionFund. For Meun, this is her seventh microloan cycle with VisionFund and she has paid her past loans on time.
She could provide her family with decent household supplies for using in her house via the previous loans. In a group of three members, she is the group leader. Meun is planning to manage her loan portion to buy fertilizer, seed and pay for labor fees to improve her farming business. Meun expects to increase more yields and get more profit in order to upgrade her living condition and support her children’s studying on time.
