Maria is in her late forties and a widowed mother of five children. Three of them are still in school. Maria operates a village shop that sells rice, beans, wheat flour, maize flour, salts, sugar, soaps and soft drinks. She has been in this business for three good years. She works daily from 7:30 in the morning to 6:30 in the evening, and she earns profit that is used to support her family needs.
This will be Maria's first loan request from Tujijenge Tanzania. She is applying for this loan to buy more kilos of rice, maize flour, sugar, bar of soaps, cooking fats and soft drinks. Her dream is to become a wholeseller.
Maria will share a portion of this loan with her loan group members of Tumaini Grp Bunda.
