San Agustin Group's story

These members belong to the Communal Bank “San Agustin”, which is located in the District of Echarate in La Convención Province, Department of Cusco.

Luz Marina is one of the members who has a business of cultivating fruit. She has a plot of land where she cultivates bananas, coffee, tangerines, and oranges. Luz Marina works from 6:00 A.M. to 5:00 P.M. She has been in this business for several years and is doing very well. Her dream is to expand her plot of land for cultivation. She is requesting a loan in order to buy seeds and fertilizers.

The other members of the group engage in businesses such as raising and selling animals, managing a grocery store, selling food, and providing services to public institutions. The members of this group are grateful to the Kiva lenders for trusting them and promise to be punctual according to the payment terms.
