A loan helped to buy mandarines, strawberries, blackberries, bananas, carrots and to have available capital to reinvest.

Yonatan Esmith's story

Yonatan is a small business owner in the capital of the country and managed to start up his fruit and vegetable store with his mother-in-law.

He is married and is the father of a 2-year old boy. His family goal is to get his own home and strengthen his business.

Every day of the week his business is open to the people who live in the area of Suba, where they find an ample supply of fruits and vegetables at good prices.

Maintaining a well-supplied inventory is very important for his job. For that, he is applying for his first CrediKiva, a financing that he asked for through the Mario Santo Domingo Foundation, to buy mandarines, strawberries, blackberries, bananas, carrots and having available capital to reinvest.

Translated from Spanish by Kiva volunteer Mara Nagaki.
