A loan helped to rebuild his home in Syria so that he can go back in the future.

Ihab's story

Ihab is a 23-year-old single Syrian refugee. He left his hometown in Syria seeking for better living conditions. He has been working in Lebanon as an employee in an aluminum factory with a limited monthly salary for two years to make his living.
He is applying for a special Syrian refugee loan product from Kiva's field partner Al Majmoua, in order to rebuild his home in Syria so that he can go back in the future. Ihab will manage the reconstruction of his house from Lebanon, since it is still not safe to be there at the meantime. He will hire somebody over there to build it for him. He won’t leave Lebanon now, this reconstruction plan is to make sure his house will be ready when peace is all over the Syrian regions, so that he can manage to open his own aluminum factory in his beloved country Syria.
