A loan helped to buy refillable bottles to reach more customers who could not previously afford clean drinking water.

Jackson's story

Jackson is a 33-year-old father of two young girls living with his family in Kigali. He used to own a small restaurant and has worked for multiple peace-building organizations, both in Germany and Rwanda. He was drawn to Jibu because of its mission of providing affordable and clean water to East African communities while simultaneously providing the opportunity for local community members to become business owners. He was chosen to be a franchisee after exhibiting incredible sales performance as a micro-franchisee and thus became a franchise owner in December of 2016. A loan amount of $2000 will allow Jackson to purchase essential inventory to continue growing his sales, which will provide vulnerable members of his community even more access to safe and affordable drinking water. He plans to develop his business and maximize profit in order to school his children.
