A loan helped to buy fertilizers and foliar nutrients in order to keep her crops in good condition to maintain her production.

Francisca's story

Francisca, age 22, lives in a common-law marriage with her husband. She has three children, and she lives with her family in the Intibucá municipality. She devotes herself to growing and selling potatoes. Her production has been located on her property for nine years. She sells the crop at the local market. This way she gets earnings to help support her family.

She is requesting 20,000 lempiras to buy fertilizers and leaf nutrients to keep her crop in good condition to maintain her production. This will allow her to offer a better product and to increase her earnings.

Her plans are to use the profits she gets to improve her house and to provide her children with an education so that they are able to get ahead.
