A loan helped a member to buy manure, fertilizers and mulch to add to her banana plantation.

Karama Tukundane Group's story

Peredasi is a member of Karama Tukundane Group in Kamwenge, Uganda. She is married with two children who both attend school. She is involved in the growing of bananas, maize and beans for both subsistence utilization and commercial purposes.

She also rears and fattens goats where she earns an extra income, for she looks at a need to have enough food security with good health for her family given the fertile soils surrounding her community which she anticipates can allow farm expansion-her true desire.

The only challenge that comes her way is the current change in climate due to human activities on the environment leading to droughts.

She plans to use this loan to buy manure, fertilizers and mulch to add to her banana plantation.
