Papiya's story

Papiya is a 40-year-old married woman from Nadia district, West Bengal. She is engaged in a weaving business. She has a household of four members and a monthly income of INR 8,000. She, along with her husband, purchases raw thread from the market, processes them and weaves them into saris. She wants to expand their business by purchasing more raw materials such as threads. She has applied for a loan of INR 20,000 from Gram Bikash Kendra, one of Milaap's field partner. She and her family is thankful to their lenders.
