A loan helped to buy embroidery supplies such as fabrics, thread, needles, pearls etc. for her embroidery work.

Nosheen's story

Nosheen is a 32-year-old woman and mother of 4 children. She lives with her family in a rented house in Multan, Pakistan.

Nosheen and her husband have had a hand-embroidery business at home for the past 10 years. Their joint effort helps them to finish work in a timely fashion, and also take more orders.

Though they work hard, the payment they get for each order is not much to cover their household expenses. They currently need to purchase some embroidery supplies for making dresses of different designs for their clients, but their funds are insufficient.

To fulfill this, Nosheen has requested a loan to purchase supplies of embroidery material such as fabrics, thread, needles, pearls etc. so she can sell more of her work, and increase her income. She is very pleased with the income she makes to cover her expenses.

This is Nosheen’s second loan cycle. She is pictured with her husband.

This loan is special because:

It provides financial services in some of the poorest parts of Pakistan.
