A loan helped a member to purchase fertilizer for her farm.

Sokkan Group's story

Originally from Tbong Khmum province of Cambodia, Mrs. Sokkan, 37, is the first on the right in the photo. She is a married mother of two school-aged children. For the past 17 years, she and her husband have been working together as cassava farmers to earn money to support their family.

This group of two members led by Sokkan would like to ask for a loan. Sokkan is going to use her share of the loan to purchase fertilizer for her farm. She believes this purchase will allow her to increase her crop yields and her family profits. In the future, she wants to purchase two more hectares of farmland, renovate her house, and help her children to go to college.
